北朝鮮、再処理で核兵器1個分のプルトニウムを抽出
North Korea says it has produced more material for use in nuclear weapons. The official Korean Central News Agency reported that the country has made great progress in processing plutonium for nuclear bombs. Experts say the reprocessed material could give the country enough plutonium to make at least one nuclear weapon. On Monday, North Korea's Foreign Ministry urged the United States to agree to direct talks. North Korea warned that it would reject international negotiations if the United States did not agree to direct talks. The United States has said it is willing to hold talks with North Korea but negotiations must lead to six-nation talks aimed at ending the North's nuclear program.
