　meet は「～を満たす」という意味で、meet the deadline というと「締め切りを守る」となります。

「ウクライナでの紛争（戦争）に巻き込まれた」
　be caught in …は「…（災難）に巻き込まれる」。
　conflict は「紛争、戦争」。「矛盾」という意味もあります。
　このフレーズは、過去分詞のあとに語句を伴って、前にある civilians という名詞を修飾している「分詞の後置修飾」です。

millions of …は「何百万もの」のように数え切れないほど多くの物や事を表します。「数百万」ではありません。「数百万」は several million … のように複数形にしない形で表します。

　desperate は「非常な、大変な」という意味の形容詞。

We’ve seen the images of elderly fleeing, a woman killed in her wheelchair, children dying in their mothers’ arms and a woman being rushed bleeding to a hospital.

「逃げ惑う高齢者の光景（映像）」
　この the images は、コンマ以降に続く名詞節のすべてにかかっています。つまり、「女性の光景」、「子どもの光景」、「女性の光景」となります。

「車椅子のまま殺された女性」
　killed はin her wheelchair を伴って前の a woman を修飾しています。下の２つのフレーズも同じです。

children dying in their mothers’ arms
「母親の腕の中で死んでいく子どもたち」
　die という動詞は「瞬間動作動詞」と言われるもので、進行形にすると「限りなく～に近づいている」ことを表します。ですから、この dying は、まだ死んでいないことになります。

「血を流して病院に運ばれる女性」

　programme というつづりに注意しましょう。アメリカ英語では、通常 program とつづります。イギリス英語でも、コンピューター・プログラムは program とつづるようです。

「に緊急の食糧と現金の支援を行うため」
　目的を表す不定詞に続くフレーズです。food and cash は assistance を修飾する形容詞句です。

The United Nations Children’s Fund says vulnerable children make up a large proportion of the more than 1 million Ukrainians who have fled Russia’s invasion of their country.

　いわゆるユニセフです。

vulnerable children make up a large proportion of ～
「か弱い子どもたちが～の大きな割合を占めている」
　vulnerable は「弱い、ひ弱な」という意味の形容詞。
　make up … は「…を占める」。

「彼らの国へのロシアの侵攻から逃れてきた」
　関係代名詞節です。
　fled は flee の過去分詞です。ここでは、fled は他動詞として使われています。「～逃れる」という意味です。

「そのうちの何人かは同伴者なしである」

　cross は動詞として使われています。

　ちょっと込み入った構文になっています。what 以降は producing の目的語です。what many fear は先行詞を含む関係代名詞節で、will be の主語になっています。many は many people のことで、fear は動詞です。

「これほど急速な流出を見たことがほとんどない」
　倒置の文で強調を表しています。rarely のように否定の意味を表す副詞を文頭に出して、主語と動詞を倒置させることで強調を表すことができます。
